Sophie graduated from the University of Cambridge with a double first in music in 2020. She studied composition with Jeremy Thurlow and recorder with Anna Stegmann at the Royal Academy of Music during her undergraduate degree. She is due to take up a Hershel Smith scholarship to Harvard University in 2021.
Sophie is part of the London-based recorder trio Parandrus, also featuring Daniel Swani and Charlotte Barbour-Condini (BBC Young Musician Concerto Finalist 2012). The consort were the winners of 2017 ORDA professional consort competition Amsterdam and the Nancy Nutall prize at RAM, and recently featured at the London Festival of Early Music and on BBC Radio 3.
In 2014, Sophie won the woodwind category of the BBC Young Musician. She went on to perform in the concerto final with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra., broadcast live from Edinburgh's Usher Hall.
Since then Sophie has given recitals as a soloist in the UK and abroad, and appeared on BBC Radio 3's In Tune, BBC Radio Cambridgeshire and BBC Radio Wales as well as at TedX Newcastle. In 2017 she premiered the Recorder Concerto for the 21st Century by Graham Fitkin in Cardiff with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales and featured alongside Michala Petri and Piers Adams in the Society of Recorder Players grand 70th anniversary "Recorder Allstars Concert".
Sophie can currently be heard performing the title music on the BBC TV series "The Clangers".

Judith is a short chamber opera-ballet based on a section of Virginia Woolf's A Room of One's Own. This performance was part of CUOS Shorts, choreographed and danced by Florence Coumbe.

Quiet Stream was commissioned by Andrew Nethsingha and St Johns College Choir as an anthem for lent 2020. It features me playing the recorder alongside the men of the choir. Recording published by kind permission of Andrew Nethsingha.
